Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 3, 2026 · Stax Link / F1v3 Group LLC · privacy@stax-link.com

This Privacy Policy describes how F1v3 Group LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with Stax Link ("the App", "the Service"), available at stax-link.com and related client applications (iOS, macOS host, and future platforms).

By using Stax Link you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who We Are

Stax Link is a remote terminal product developed and operated by F1v3 Group LLC. It lets you connect a phone (or desktop) client to a host machine you control — typically over a private mesh such as Tailscale — to run an interactive shell, manage projects, and optionally use host-side chat.

2. Core privacy model

Your shell runs on your host. Terminal input and output are between your client and the host you operate. We do not sit in the middle of your PTY session for the default local/Tailscale setup.

API keys for chat stay on the host. When chat is enabled, credentials such as an xAI key are configured on the host machine. The mobile client talks to your host — it does not need your provider API key.

3. What data we collect

3.1 Website (stax-link.com)

When you visit our marketing site, standard web server logs may include IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps. We use these for security, reliability, and basic traffic understanding. We do not sell this data.

3.2 Optional cloud account (if enabled)

If you use optional Stax Link cloud account features (for example email verification or multi-device account services), we may collect:

  • Email address (login / verification)
  • Password hashes (never plaintext passwords)
  • Basic account metadata (created/updated times, verification status)

Exact cloud features may expand over time; we will update this policy when material changes ship.

3.3 Host-local data (on your machine)

The Stax Link host stores configuration on your computer (for example host token, listen address, optional API keys, inbox folder paths). That data remains on your host under your control unless you intentionally sync or back it up elsewhere.

3.4 Terminal content

Commands you type, shell output, project paths, and screenshots you upload live on your devices and host. We do not require those contents to pass through F1v3 Group servers for the core remote-terminal product.

4. How we use information

  • Operate and secure the website and any cloud account services
  • Respond to support requests you send us
  • Improve product reliability and documentation
  • Comply with legal obligations when required

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery) strictly as needed to run the Service, under obligations to protect it. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6. Security

Stax Link is designed around a private network boundary (commonly Tailscale) and host tokens for API access. You are responsible for:

  • Protecting your host token and treating it like a password
  • Only allowing trusted devices on your private network / tailnet
  • Securing the host machine that exposes the shell

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Use Stax Link with the understanding that remote shell access is powerful and should be limited to devices you trust.

7. Retention

Website logs are retained for a limited operational period. Account data (if any) is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for security and legal compliance. Host-local data retention is controlled by you on your machine.

8. Your choices

  • Stop using the Service at any time
  • Request deletion of cloud account data we hold (if applicable) by emailing privacy@stax-link.com
  • Revoke host tokens and stop the host process on your Mac

9. Children

Stax Link is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
